Halloween Films


Grab the popcorn, turn off the lights and prepare to spend a night in watching your favourite and most haunting of Halloween films. There are many to choose from, some will simply scare you, whilst others will have you hiding under the covers!

Poltergeist
An old classic where a family move to a new house only to discover that it was built on a grave sight and is now haunted by an evil presence. The film has had a few sequels and each will send a chill through your bones.

The Strangers
This is a new film about a couple who spend the night in deserted cabin in the woods, only to be visited by a trio of strangers who wreak havoc on the couple simply because they were home. This is a truly frightening film that will have you checking to make sure that all your windows and doors are securely locked.


The Omen
The name Damien and the number 666 are the symbols of the devil in this chilling sequence of films. Each one of The Omen films are as impressive and scary as the last, but when your son was born on the 6th day of the 6th month at the 6th hour what can you expect.

The Wicker Man
There are two versions of this film, the remake starred Nicolas Cage, however, the original is with Edward Woodward is definitely worth a watch. The story involves a young policeman who is called to a mysterious and strange island to investigate the disappearance of a girl, with disastrous consequences.

Halloween
No Halloween would be complete without watching a Halloween film to experience the gruesome ventures of Michael Myers. Michael is a disturbed young man who punishes his descendants and the inhabitants of his home town after they condemned him to an asylum when he was a young boy.

Nightmare on Elm Street
“One, two, Freddie’s after you”. Will you dare to go to sleep after watching one of fantastic Elm Street series of films? The films all follow the similar pattern of the psychotic child killer Freddie will can haunt your dreams and cause you irreversible harm.

The Blair Witch Project
Follow the shaky camera work as a group of teenagers explore the story of the Blair Witch. This film is set in a thick woodland area, with creepy looking trees and terrifying story that is said to be based on true events.

The Shining
Jack Nicholson stars in his most thrilling role ever as a quiet family man, who turns into a crazed killer whilst being a hotel caretaker. The film is entertaining whilst encapsulating a freaky and twisted atmosphere that will have you glued to you seats.

The Silence of the Lambs
Hannibal Lector played by Anthony Hopkins, is an almost lovable killer who eats parts of his victims after they have met their grisly end. This film is a must see for any horror film fan, and there is no better time to watch it than on Halloween night.

The Rocky Horror Picture
This creation from Richard O’Brian is a cult classic, which can be enjoyed as a film or stage show. The Rocky Horror Picture Show unites entertaining songs that will have you dancing in your living room, with a spooky castle that is filled with dark deeds.
